The exit speed for a skydiver is typically around 70-80 knots. The aircraft slows down for the jumpers to exit. So all you really need to do is stay streamlined and try to grab a hold of the nose of the wing and you should be just fine. I think bare feet also helps with grip on the aluminum. And yes, gravity also does keep him on.
