Samsung releases P410M and A600 projectors
Samsung recently added two new projectors to its lineup, both featuring high image quality and a wide range of connectivity capabilities at a very interesting price. The very portable P410M is compact and lightweight, with direct USB connectivity for games and devices, while the high-end A600 offers full HD 1080p video suitable for home theater projection.
The latest addition to the Korean giant's P Series projectors, the P410, is LED-based and weighs less than two pounds, featuring a compact design (5.8" W x 2.5" H x 5.7" D) and USB port with auto play, which means you can connect your USB pen directly into the device and start visualizing your media files without the need to connect it to a PC.
The combination of Samsung's proprietary DLP and the affordable LED technology provide strong color saturation — up to 140% of the NTSC color gamut — and a high-contrast display, while the LED lamp can last for up to 30,000 hours consuming about 30 percent less energy than traditional ones.
If, instead, you're looking for quality home theater on a budget, the A600 might be the right choice: it supports Full HD 1080p video and supports a wide range of inputs, from Blu-ray to anything that can be fed from a PC via its analog 15-pin VGA input, two HDMI and inputs for component, composite and S-Video.
The A600's bright 220 watts lamp can last up to 4,000 hours in eco mode or 3,000 hours in high bright, and the device's shorter throw ratio means that it can be placed closer to the screen, without you needing a large room to bring the big screen into your very own home.
