Who Is the Highest Paid Actress in Hollywood?
No matter what they do from here until the ends of their careers, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston will not be able to avoid comparison to one another. Today Forbes magazine published its list of Hollywood's top-earning actresses, and surprise, surprise - Angelina and Jennifer are the top two on the list.
Jolie barely edged out Aniston for the top spot, having earned $27 million in the past year thanks to roles in Wanted and the upcoming Salt. Aniston, meanwhile, earned $25 million from her success in Marley & Me, Friends residuals, and her promotional deal with SmartWater.
The third biggest earner was none other than Meryl Streep, whose film Mamma Mia! was an international hit. She earned $24 million. Close behind was Sarah Jessica Parker, who raked in the cash by returning to Sex and the City for a splashy film franchise. The top ten for the past year is as follows:

These ladies' paychecks may seem staggering, with a combined total of $183. When you compare it to the $393 million earned by Forbes' top-earning actors, however, it's pretty clear there's still a huge pay disparity between the sexes in Hollywood.
