ecoSkin Feminine Fabric Spring Fashion 2009
Designer Sandy Skinner wanted the ecoSkin woman to feel the influence of nature and the infusion of style and sophistication within each garment. As always, the goal is to combine eco-friendly fabrics with a high design aesthetic, and give the customer an option in fashion-forward dressing.
Mother Earth is ecoSkin's muse for spring, resulting in vibrant, saturated turquoise, purple, and plum hues that set off feminine ruffles, off-the-shoulder cuts, and plunging necklines. It's the Earth goddess with a bit of the minx in her; coconut-shell and wood buttons punctuate the sensual drape of bamboo and tencel fabrics, creating looks that seamlessly transition from day to night. All of ecoSkin's garments are woven, dyed, and sewn in Los Angeles, where Skinner is based.
